Ayushman Yojna, Officially on Ambedkar Jayanti 2018(14th of April 2018). But, It has been approved by Cabinet on 21st of March. What is Ayushman Bharat Yojana? Ayushman Bharat Yojana set to be the world’s largest government-funded healthcare programme. The main focus of this scheme is to get the benefit for poor people of the country. This Yojna provides all kind of help related to the health issue, with Cashless Facility. Mission mode to provide quality and affordable health care to nearly 50 crore people across the country. It also billed as the world's largest government-funded health care programme, is a path-breaking initiative and would bring a "paradigm shift" in the health sector. The healthcare programme was announced by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley in his Budget for 2018-19. Benefits of Ayushman Bharat Yojna: The scale of this scheme is un-parallelled and it will bring a paradigm shift in our health sector. This Scheme is an ideal apportunity to give India a health care system that makes quality treatment affordable within a limit of Rs 5 lakh for each family. Health insurance coverage of up to ₹5 lakh a family a year, and setting up of health and wellness centres, also It has been approved and allotted a Rs 10,500 crore budget. A number of families get or sell assets to acknowledge inpatient treatment and the government is concerned about the resulting “impoverishment of poor and helpless families”. CEO and co-founder of BankBazaar, Adhil Shetty, said the scheme would create tremendous awareness of health insurance, the same way Jan Dhan did for bank accounts. “On life insurance, the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, including ₹2 lakh life cover, is being pushed across a larger base which is a great sign. ₹2 lakh critical cover is also being extended to a larger base,” he said. Adhil Shetty also welcomed the increase in the tax exemption limit for health insurance under Section 80 D for senior citizens and introduction of micro-insurance services for Jan Dhan account holders. Ayushman Bharat, also known as the National Health Protection Scheme, has twin missions -- first, creating a network of health and wellness centres to deliver comprehensive primary health care close to the community, and second, providing insurance cover to 40 percent of India's population, that is most deprived, for secondary and tertiary care, including, for instance, hospitalisation costs.
